The morning after...

POV Zero

The next morning, classes are suspended, we are all still in shock. At lunchtime, Mr. Soper comes up to me and says: "This afternoon you can go to visit Vin, if you want". Heart beats fast for joy, Trixie and Newton smile at me. At about 3 p.m. I take the bus and go to the hospital with the principal. Just arrived, a doctor accompany us. "The wounds are mortal, we are surprised by how he managed to survive. But the fact remains that his condition is very poised. Miss "I look at him and say: "Yes, sir?" "You can go now." Opens the door and I enter. Vin is asleep, an IV in his arm, small tubes in his nose to help him breathe, the bandages on the torso completely covered with blood. The chest rises and falls slowly. *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*, near the bed, a machine that shows a green line while form of tips, are the beats of his heart, are weak... I sit next to Vin and I take his hand, he wakes up and looks at me, smiling. Me too try to smile...

"Hello, how are you?" asks Zero. Vin tells her: "... I am better...". Shortly after, Zero starts to cry, even though she tries to hide it. Vin wipes her tears and says: "Come on, do not do this. I know you feel guilty for not helping me, but trust me, I would have done much more bad that you were injured because of my enemy...". At that point, Zero is calm. Come the doctor and Mr. Soper. "I'm sorry dear, but now you must come home. You can go back here tonight". Zero gives a kiss on the cheek to Vin, he gently squeezes her hand, then the two greet each other. Back to Pinkerton with the principal and the day goes on. In the evening, Zero returns to the hospital to stay with Vin. While in the room, can perceive of parts of a conversation between the principal and the doctor: "... The boy... is getting better... soon... ". Those words make her heart feel lighter. Late at night, she falls asleep beside the boy she loves. While sleeping, Vin strokes her hair and says: "Rest now, and not fear. It'll be okay..." and he fall asleep.

The next morning...
